Adraa Samar (2017) stages miniature monuments and devotional objects recast in ice and filmed as they slowly melt. Through this transformation, the work considers how political and cultural meaning is constructed and transmitted through objects and their circulation, and how those meanings shift as the object itself begins to dissolve.
