Catfish Mother Puddle of Juice
(Bagre madre charco de Jugo)
2026
20′27″, 4K video, colour, sound
Spanish with English subtitles
A catfish narrates the story of a child and her mother, whose ages invert and dissolve as time folds in on itself. Centering the body as both instrument and metaphor, the film drifts through care, misrecognition, and myth, exploring how bodies resist explanation within systems that insist they be made legible.
